Allegations that the Muppets are secretly Communist... puppets?

Sounds a bit far fetched, but that's exactly what Fox Business Network’s Eric Bolling claimed when he argued Kermit and Miss Piggy were trying to "brainwash" our kids.

The new Muppets Movie, currently in theaters, features an Muppet villain named Tex Richman, an oil tycoon, bent on destroying their studio to drill for oil. According to Fox this is all part of a liberal conspiracy to get children to hate corporations, in particular oil companies.

Muppets fans from around the world have come to their defense on Twitter by "live tweeting" parody questions from a make-believe Congressional investigation under the hashtag #GOPMuppetHearings
