Pro-environment candidates Patrick Murphy (running in Florida) and Tammy Duckworth (running in Illinois) were also successful in the national contest, decided by popular vote, to determine which of ten worthy candidates would receive funds toward their campaigns for Congress.

What a night! California environmental voters showed up to the polls. They voted for the best environmental leaders. As a result, California’s election results are the bright spot in the national political landscape for the environment.

Champions for our air, land and water up and down the ticket were victorious in the June 5th Primary Election, handing CLCV a success rate of 98% in the races where we made an endorsement.

The weather was on our side during CLCV's "walk day" for California Assembly candidate Phil Ting.

But the hills weren't always so cooperative. This is San Francisco after all. Precinct walking, even on a beautiful day, is going to challenge your calf muscles.

But for the staff of CLCV who volunteered on a gorgeous Sunday to go door-to-door in support of environmental champion Phil Ting, it was all worth it.
